Who’s on your team?

An effective councillor is one who can work effectively with everyone.

You can think of your overall team as a number of smaller overlapping teams with you as one of the key links, and each part of the team working differently together – there are councillors, council staff, and the community.  You’ll spend a lot of time in discussion with other councillors, as well as having your own views and priorities.  You may be able to consult with council staff as needed.  Working with your constituents requires a few different team efforts.
